Dear Victor and others
I feek it is very difficult to distinguish
between the effects of corallivores like Drupella
sp. and other infections. Becasue many times we
may not see the presence of these predators as
they are continuously on move from one coral to
another. So when we dont see any of these
feeding on corals we may easily confuse it to
something else. Visit this link,

I have posted some photos of Acropora hyacinthus
and Acropora formosa infected and being infected
with Drupella. Photos of A. hyacinthus looks
somoewhat similar to the one sent by Victor.
There is no presence of Drupella, but it is
Drupella infection.
