[Coral-List] New paper about an in situ coral reef ocean acidification system

Dear coral-listers,
We recently published a paper, that may be of interest to the readers of
this list, in the Nature Publishing Group journal Scientific Reports about
a short-term *in situ* ocean acidification experiment on the Great Barrier
Reef. The paper describes our Coral Proto - Free Ocean Carbon Enrichment
(CP-FOCE) system and a 5 day experiment on the Heron Island reef flat with
crustose coralline algae and corals. The CP-FOCE allows for the first
controlled ocean acidification experiment in shallow coastal waters and
represents a new paradigm for analyzing how reefs respond to ocean
