*JOB SUMMARY:*
This position is located in the National Marine Fisheries Service of the
National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration.
*Duties include but are not limited to the following:*
- Conduct and facilitate coral reef ecosystem monitoring, fishery
independent assessments, and fishery and habitat research in coral reef
environments
- Designs new approaches for data collection surveys & methodologies for
compilation & distribution to provide quality information for fisheries
management, conservation & development
- Conduct fishery research involving population surveys, ecology, and
behavior necessary to support NOAA fishery management goals with coral reef
fish taxonomy and ecology in the southeastern U.S. and Caribbean
- Coordinate the collection of biological samples and manages the use of
ecological databases for fish stock or ecological assessments
- Conduct statistical analyses of fishery and ecological data to support
fishery and ecosystem assessments
