Thank you Dennis, I recently read a paper on coral transplants. There
was a ton of references, and 99 percent were post 2000 papers. There is
no encouragement to store old papers anymore. A little over 2-years ago
I was encouraged to trash my 7 file cabinets of reprints. I was told all
you want can be found on line. The problem as I expressed in a posting a
couple of months says 50% of Americans were born after 1981. That is
pretty much everyone working on coral reefs. The papers I am most proud
of were published in the 1960s through 1970s (on a typewriter). I don't
expect to see those papers referenced anymore. As Dennis says, "if you
are on the wrong train every stop is the wrong stop" Gene
